BIOGRAPHY
WCMA nominee and Explore Edmonton ambassador Mouraine is a talented hip-hop artist set for a big breakthrough. His debut album, "In Search of Gold," was produced in collaboration with producer duo Deadmen and released via Birthdaycake Records in May 2023. The album includes standout appearances from respected artists such as LA native Westside Boogie, Canadian R&B icon JRDN, and MOTO. ISOG offers listeners a deeply personal and vulnerable look into Mouraine's life, all backed by bold lyricism and colossal beats.“There comes a time in every artist's career to pursue their unimaginable creativity, to find themselves and their sound. "In Search of Gold" is metaphorically a representation of my life journey. I’ve always thought that chasing possessions was going to fulfill me. But I realized that to find gold is to find your purpose, peace, and happiness, and that’s what this album means to me.” - Mouraine
"In Search of Gold" has already earned placements on over 11 highly curated Apple Music playlists, including widely popular selections like Rap Life, New in Hip-Hop, and It's Lit!, as well as a multitude of Spotify playlists such as Northern Bars, Beats n' Bars, and Gone Abroad. The album has garnered attention from mainstream publications like Complex Magazine, CBC, and Hip Hop Canada. With such a high level of buzz surrounding "In Search of Gold," it's no surprise that the album has already made its way into heavy rotation on Sirius XM's Mixtape North. Plus, in just its first week of release, this standout album debuted at an impressive #4 on the NACC's Top 10 Hip-Hop Adds chart. With so much support and love already surrounding Mouraine and his debut album, it's clear that he's a rising star to keep a close eye on.
A young, first-generation immigrant to Canada, Mouraine learned English through music. At the age of 11, he began creating and performing original music, sharing stages with iconic artists like Mac Miller, J, Cole, T-Pain, Big Sean, Pusha T, Classified, and Shad. Mouraine’s music has been featured in Footlocker ads, played live at Toronto Raptors NBA games, earned accolades from his community and peers, and captivated audiences worldwide.
